Fanshawe College: Photography Department Studios.
Where Art Meets Science. Where Creative meets Technical
These words describe why I love photography. It is a combination of two things that I've been drawn to all of my life, and that I can never tire from.
Thank you so much for taking your time to visit my online galleries! If you’ve already visited them, I hope you enjoyed them. If you stopped here first, I hope you continue and have a look around.
I always welcome feedback and hearing from people so feel free to send a quick hello and message if you like.
I grew up in the film era where I had some experience with SLR cameras in Junior and Senior high film classes, but I was drawn away from cameras by guitars. It was the 80’s and well…Rock and girls won the day. 😊
Fast forward to a more responsible time in life. I began my new photography journey in 2010 with a crop sensor DSLR and in January 2013, with a new full frame in hand, I began the 2-year Photography program at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario; but not before I took a two-week trip to Europe, where I got to try that new camera out. (See my Places gallery)
For the next few years I learned a great deal, from a full range of hands on, face to face, industry relevant training, from very talented professors and visiting experts. I was able to lay my hands on any piece of gear or equipment that I needed for assignments, or just wanted to use and try out, and could never afford to have otherwise. I was given access to several, fully equipped studios that I could book 24hrs a day as well as full print lab services and much more. I say this for those who have doubts and have said that college is a waste of money for photography; but they fail to see the value that I’ve seen and received from it. If I never earned a dollar afterwards, I would still think it was a great investment in myself.
I recently invested in myself once more and completed a Digital Marketing Program at TriOS College and currently, I am working on a long-term project that will combine these two practices with the goal of providing new services to my city of Cornwall, Ontario, and the surrounding regions and cities.
While I tackle this mountain and focus on my future niche, I still have some available time where I can offer my general services. If you have a need and think I can help, please feel free to reach out for a zero-pressure chat
Thank you!
